INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY OF GENEALOGY PRESIDENT MARIA LOREDANA PINOTTI

Last year from 6 to 9 October 2021 was held in Messina the XII International Colloquium of Genealogy, during which we had the usual general assembly and, taking the floor, President Michel Teillard d’Eyry declared that he intended to resign as president of the AIG, due to sudden serious events that had changed his possibilitiy of managing the AIG as president.
In addition to having undergone throat surgery with consequences on the vocal cords, unfortunately on April 14, 2021, his beloved wife, Marie France Teillard d’Eyry de Gérault de Langalerie died, leaving him in deep despair. During the AIG Bureau, according to the statutory rules, Dr. Pier Felice degli Uberti, who holds the position of second vice-president of the AIG, should have succeeded him, as the first vice president, Dr. Igor Sakharov, having passed the age of 75, could not hold that office. But Dr. degli Uberti, after being consulted, had replied that, while thanking for the opportunity offered, but holding other international presidencies (CIGH and ICOC, without forgetting Institut International
d’Études Genealogiques et d’Histoire des Familles - IIGFM1 , the only rigorously scientific body founded in Dublin during the XXV International Congress) he was unable to accept, so the problem of succession arose, which was not possible within the Board of Directors.
